We are excited to announce that we partnered with RentRisk and integrated their tenant application and screening services with the RealBird rental listing syndication platform (USA only). You can now automatically create a tenant application and background check website for your rental listings published on RealBird.
How does it work?
When enabled in your RealBird dashboard, a RentRisk tenant screening link is automatically created for your rental unit. You can copy and paste this link from your RealBird dashboard and share it with inquiring tenants, for background check and application. Your RealBird single property website of your rental will also show an “Apply Now” button, enabling prospective tenants who found your unit to apply seamlessly.
When you first use this feature on RealBird, our background API integration with RentRisk automatically creates an account with them and also a tenant screening property link. You’ll be notified by RentRisk via email upon new applications for your rental units. You will be able to see your applicants, their progress and you can accept a tenant application through RentRisk’s dashboard.
How much does it cost?
The tenant screening and application add-on is a free service available to all RealBird rental marketing members. RentRisk has other optional services that they charge agents and property managers a low fee for, but the tenant application and screening service that has been integrated with RealBird is a completely free add-on for agents and property managers.
When prospective tenants decide to apply for the rental, they pay an application fee in order to run their background check and for processing their application.
How to use the tenant application and screening link?
It’s easy to get started. When you add a new rental unit for syndication and marketing on RealBird, you have an option to automatically create and add a tenant screening app to your listing. If the checkbox is selected on the listing editor, RealBird calls the API on the RentRisk platform, and automatically creates the tenant screening app for you.
Upon creating the tenant screening link, RentRisk sends you an email co-branded with our logo to avoid confusion. You will be able to access your tenant application and screening link both from your RealBird and from your RentRisk dashboard as well.
You can also toggle on and off this feature on the listing marketing page in the RealBird dashboard, for rentals added prior to this feature release, and also for new rentals should you want to opt-out of this feature.
We automatically share your tenant application links on your RealBird single property websites, and via auto-responder emails sent on inquiries, but you can also email that yourself to prospective tenants.
Finally, you receive emails every time a new applicant submits their information so that you can apply/deny applications and monitor their application progress.
Pretty neat, isn’t it?
If you are an existing RealBird member, just log in, and simply add a new rental unit, enabling this feature, as you usually do for syndication.
